Transfer Guidelines

for the major (or majors) you're thinking about.
Make sure you're taking the right courses for a
potential major by reading these guidesheets and
talking to a counselor. Since requirements for
a major may vary from college to college, a counselor
can help you figure out the best plan to keep your
options open.
Transfer guides are also available by college.
These are a huge help -- even if you're not completely
sure about your major, but you know where you want
to transfer, these general guidesheets can help
ensure you're on the right track. You may also want
to use a transfer guide to find out more about a
college's requirements and compare two or three
colleges you're considering. Obviously, visiting
the campus is most important, but you can start
weeding through the differences in academic requirements
by checking out catalogs, transfer guides and web
sites.
Students may also wish access the Degree
Audit Report System (DARS) or the free, web-based
Course Applicability
System (MNCAS) for fast and accurate transfer
information.
