The most important part of college is attending classes. At Anoka-Ramsey we recognize students are more successful in class if they understand and comply with college policies, procedures and practices.

Blood Borne Pathogens and Communicable Diseases

Anoka-Ramsey Community College respects the rights of individuals with a communicable disease to education, to privacy and to be free from discrimination. ARCC also acknowledges the rights of others in the college community to be educated in a safe environment and the need to educate administrators, faculty and students about preventing and reducing the risk of transmission of communicable diseases. Students with communicable diseases will not be excluded from attending school in their regular classrooms as long as their attendance does not create a substantial risk of the transmission of illness to other students or employees of the college.

Children or Pets

Due to disruption and possible risk of harm, children may not be left unsupervised in the common areas of the college. Students may not bring children to classrooms or labs when the student is attending class. With the exception of service animals required to assist students with disabilities, animals are not allowed on campus.

Crime Awareness and Campus Security

Safety and Security is a vital component of our working and learning environment. Anoka-Ramsey Community College encourages all students and college community members to be fully aware of the safety issues on the campus and to take action to prevent and to report illegal and inappropriate activities. Personal awareness and applying personal safety practices are the foundations of a safe community.

Pursuant to the Student Right to Know and Campus Security Act of 1990, Anoka-Ramsey Community College monitors criminal activity and publishes a Crime Awareness and Campus Security report PDF, maintaining a three-year statistical history on the Cambridge and the Coon Rapids Campuses, and at off-campus facilities rented by ARCC or recognized college organizations. The college annually distributes a copy of this report to each current student and employee.

 Personal Property

ARCC is not responsible for loss of personal property left in classrooms, labs or in any other area in or around the college.
