Procedures for Forming a New Club   3/2000

  1. Complete the form called Proposal for Forming a Club and return it to the Student Activities Director.
     
  2. The Student Senate must approve the proposal by a three-fourths majority at a regularly scheduled Student Senate meeting.
     
  3. Following the approval of the Student Senate, the Student Activities Director signs the proposal for approval.
     
  4. The Student Senate shall notify a Dean of its approval of a club. The Dean shall have the right to approve or deny all clubs.
     
  5. Upon receiving notification of club approval, the approved club has a four-week period to submit a constitution. The constitution should be submitted to the Student Activities Director.
     
  6. All approved clubs have access to the Clubs and Organizations Office in the Student Center . Contact the Student Activities Director for access information, computer use, phone use and mailboxes.
