CHAPTER 3: EDUCATIONAL
SERVICES
POLICY 3A.1 Library
Access
- To
promote information literacy, the libraries at the two
campuses of Anoka-Ramsey Community College provide services
and resources (print, audiovisual, and online),
including
bibliographic
instruction, reference and interlibrary loan, to ARCC
students, faculty and staff. Since the libraries are
an
integral part of the education process, the collection
in each library is coordinated with college curriculum
to ensure students have resources relevant to their course
of study. Campus libraries may also choose to contract
with the local public library for reciprocal borrowing
to promote community cooperation and support.
Selection
The libraries will acquire materials
in a variety of formats to support the curriculum, adhering
to the American Library Association’s Intellectual
Freedom Principles for Academic Libraries.
