Registration Process

Students without a hold (suspension hold or balance due hold) attached to their academic record are encouraged to register online. If you have a hold on your record or if you do not have online access, you may register in person at either campus. Not sure what courses to take? Counselors and advisors are available for 30 and 60 minute appointments as well as walk-in services. To schedule an appointment, call Cambridge Campus 763.433.1830, or Coon Rapids Campus 763.433.1230.

Please register carefully, as you are liable for tuition/fees for any registered course. Tuition and fee payment is required by the established payment deadlines unless deferred. The college reserves the right to drop for non-payment and withhold registration privileges from any student with unpaid financial obligations.

Add, Drop and Withdraw

Students without a suspension hold or a balance due hold on their record may add, drop or withdraw online. If you have a hold on your record or if you do not have online access, you may add, drop or withdraw in person at either campus.

You may add a course through the fifth business day of the term or before the course starts, whichever is later.

You may drop a course through the fifth business day of the term or before the course starts, whichever is later. Dropped courses do not appear on your transcript and do not impact academic standing. If you drop a course, you receive a full refund of tuition and fees.

You may withdraw from a course after the fifth business day and through approximately 80% of the term (short courses have an adjusted schedule). Withdrawal courses appear on your transcript as a “W” and have a direct impact on your academic standing.

Withdraw grades may subject you to academic probation or suspension. Refer to the Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy for more information. Withdraw grades may subject you to financial aid repayment. Refer to the Refund Policy for more information.

Notice: The college does not assign a grade of "W" if you stop attending, but do not officially withdraw. It is your responsibility to officially withdraw from a course you are no longer attending. If you do not withdraw from a course you are not attending, you will most likely receive an "F" in the course.

Request a Transcript

A transcript is the official record of your academic history and requires your signature for release.

To obtain your academic transcript, you need to submit your signed transcript request along with the $5.00 fee per request to the Records Office. Please allow at least two business days to process a transcript a request. You may also print an unofficial copy of your transcript (academic record) online using your Student/Tech ID and PIN.

Withholding Diplomas and Transcripts

Anoka-Ramsey Community College reserves the right to withhold your diploma and transcript until all money due the college for tuition, fees and equipment has been paid.
