The Biomedical Technology certificate and degree programs prepare students for entry-level jobs, for career transition and for advancement in the Medical Device Industry--from Manufacturing to Clinical Research. Programs include:
BMED Core Certificate—17 credits
Biomedical Technologist A.S. Degree—62 credits
Biomedical Technician Certificate—30-31 credits
Clinical Research Professional Certificate—22 credits

BMED Core
Certificate
This streamlined 17-credit program has been designed to help you get started in a career in the Medical Device Industry, and on your way to more advanced Biomedical Technology (BMED) Certificate and AS Degree Programs. The BMED Core courses are tailored to the Medical Device industry and will complement your previous education or work experience for career transition or advancement in biomedical device and biomedical product companies. This program also transfers to the Biomedical Technologist Associate in Science degree program. A successful graduate may work as a Manufacturing Team Member, R & D engineer, accountant, etc. depending upon previous education and work experience.
Biomedical Technologist
This program prepares you for entry-level positions or promotional
opportunities in biomedical device and biomedical product
companies and for transfer toward a bachelors degree
at specific colleges. Successful graduates will work in manufacturing,
product development and testing.
Biomedical Technician
This program prepares you for an entry-level position, or if you have previous education or work experience for career transition or advancement in biomedical device and biomedical product companies. This program also transfers to the Biomedical Technologist Associate in Science degree program. Successful graduates may work in manufacturing, product development, testing or other areas depending upon previous education and experience.
Clinical Research Professional
Do you already have a degree in nursing, pharmacology, or
biological sciences? This program prepares you to move into
positions such as clinical research monitoring, clinical research
coordination, clinical data management, and regulatory affairs.
